Description: A Postdoctoral Research Fellow position is available at Laboratoire d’imagerie biomédicale (LIB), Paris, France. The postdoc will be a member of the group led by Michel LE VAN QUYEN (Research Director INSERM) and will work in close collaboration with Gilles Huberfeld of the College de France (CIRB - INSERM U1050) and two neurosurgery units (L Capelle, Pitié-Salpêtrière and J Pallud, Ste Anne hospital, Paris). The research project evaluates the feasibility to record neuronal high-frequency oscillations (>80 Hz, i.e. high gamma, ripples and fast-ripples) with dense microelectrodes arrays (the “NeuroGrids”) provided by a partner company Panaxium. The recordings will be performed in patients suffering from low-grade gliomaduring intraoperative electrophysiology monitoring under awake condition. Our team, located in the heart of Paris, offers an exceptional research and clinical environment to study this new topic of micro-electrophysiology in humans.
We are looking for candidates with a PhD in cognitive neurosciences, a good academic record and experience with protocols in cognitive research. The candidate should be able to both plan and manage the experiments required to advance his/her project by leveraging close interactions with the two clinical teams.
The position is for a period of 3 years (gross salary 3530 à 4803€ monthly CNRS scales depending on experience) and is funded by project MICRODYSCOG of the french agency for research (ANR).
The position is available from January 2023 or as soon as possible hereafter. Knowledge of the French language is not required but good oral skills in french, as well as the ability and interest in working with a clinical team, would be a bonus.
To apply, please send the following documents: CV, one letter of reference, a statement describing your personal qualifications, and copies of 2 of your publications. Applications with the subject heading “Postdoc application MICRODYSCOG” should be sent via email to : firstname.lastname@example.org.
