Elections to the Academic Senate of CU
We will elect our new representatives – two academic staff and two students – to the Academic Senate of the Charles University. Senators usually meet once a month on Friday and address the university-wide agenda, such as budgets, accreditations etc. The term of office lasts 3 years. Elections will be held on 21st and 22nd of November.

Election of the Rector of CU
The current rector of Charles University professor Tomáš Zima, head of the Institute of Biochemistry and Diagnostics Laboratory of the First Faculty of Medicine of CU, was re-elected, and will lead the Charles University for further four years. The election took place on Friday 20th of October in the Patriotic Hall of Karolinum. Professor Zima received 51 out of 68 valid votes, winnig against professor Jan Černý, head of the Department of Cell Biology of the Faculty of Science of CU.
